Splash into a world of rhythmic history.

Jungle of Poems is a rhythm runner game about the journey of an orphan finding peace in a post-Liberation War Bangladesh.

To find out more about the 1971 Liberation war, check out my thesis, Calamity’s Aftermath.

I created the concept for this game based on the ongoing spirit of rebellion from my home country, a great inspiration for my work. Our small team created this game as our capstone project at Toronto Film School. I lead the team as Design lead/ Creative Director.

UI Showcase

I tried to build the UI as something that would be appealing to a young girl, while also including inspiration and historical references from the Indian subcontinent. All drawings and icons are mine, with the exception of the logo.

Jungle of Poems features an unlockable compendium, where each time you grab a collectible pottery item you receive a new poem by Kazi Nazrul Islam.

I animated the opening splash screen in After Effects, then implemented it in engine.

I animated this in After Effects as well, using puppet warping and pins.
